The WTS partnership is a patent attorney practice whose goal is to provide aid in all matters connected with the protection of intellectual property rights, their transfer and commercialisation. The partnership was formed in 2002 as an initiative of three patent attorneys, who made the choice to merge their experience gathered over several years at other patent agencies. The patent attorneys representing the practice are licensed to conduct all manner of cases dealing with IP protection, both before Polish administrative bodies and their counterparts in the European Union, meaning the European Patent Office (EPO) as well as the Office of Harmonisation of the Internal Market (OHIM). The firm has offices in Wrocław and Warsaw, with the Munich office having been opened in 2004.
Due to the professional qualifications of the partners, right from its inception, the partnership has specialised in the protection of IP in the areas of biotechnology, chemistry, pharmacology, and medicine as well as in trademark cases. In 2005, as a result of accepting a new partner, the scope of our specialisation has broadened to include the protection of computer programs and solutions in electronics.
Our services include: the preparation and conduct of patent application, utility, and industrial model proceedings; registration of trademarks in Poland and abroad; registration of novel plant varieties; representation of parties before appropriate courts in all contested matters and in connection with the infringement of exclusive rights; patent or trademark invalidation proceeding; and the evaluation of the possibilities of successfully conducting the above proceedings.
In matters concerning the commercialisation of IP, our firm aids companies in finding partners, securing the rights of parties participating in trade negotiations as well as in the drafting of contracts and agreements.
